As opposed to Howdens and Benchmarx which only supply kitchens to the trades, Wren go with a straightforward direct-to-the-public sales process. This is good news for those of you trying to figure out which suppliers you want to go to for your kitchen if you’re embarking on a renovation journey.

Luckily for you prospective home renovators, Wren has really clear and accessible pricing. They cater to everything from simple and tight-budget designs to luxe and extravagant and classic country kitchen styles to modern masterpieces.

Let’s walk you through the basic pricing options and what’s included in them.

Here’s what a Wren kitchen costs…

Price range brackets

First things first, you have three basic options to choose from.

The ‘Vogue Flat Pack’ is the elementary selection which is delivered as flat pack. You’d need to either build these yourself or account for the price of construction of fitting.

‘Infinity’ includes the most popular ranges and lands in the middle of their range of pricing.

‘Infinity Plus’ is bespoke made and is on the luxe end of the budget range with 1,950 colours to choose from.

Base prices

Making things nice and clear for us homeowners, Wren gives starting prices per number of cabinets you’ll need.

  • 8 units or 10m2 starts at £959 (1 wall)

  • 12 units or 15m2 starts at £1,903 (2 walls)

  • 16 units or 20m2 starts at £2,916 (3 walls)

  • 20 units or 30m2 starts at £3,352 (3 walls & an island)

A unit is usually 600mm wide so you can do some simple maths to work out rough costs for each wall in your home.

Remember, these are just starting prices but at least it gives you prices to work with.
You’ll then pick your choice of worktop, ranging from laminate at £55 per length to £2,080 per length for quartz. You can even pick your choice of sinks and taps.
Finally, Wren can also quote on installations which ranges from £3,540 to £5,137 for the dry fit only. If you want to do it yourself, they also offer a handy kitchen installation guide to support you in getting your DIY on.

Average total costs

Altogether, each of the three basic issues comes to the following for a small kitchen:

Vogue Flat Pack - £1,642 (£5,214 with installation)

Infinity - £3,000 (£6,211 with installation)

Infinity Plus - £4,517 (£7,728 with installation)
A extra large Infinity Plus with the more luxe choices stands at £18,604 with installation just to give you an idea of the span of prices.

Each of the prices above is based on three appliances and mid-range materials so they can fluctuate a fair bit. Good news if you want a luxe design but can compromise on appliances and taps or sinks. Or the other way around.

Support with the design of your kitchen

Wren offer some unrivalled 3D imagery when you work with their in-house kitchen designers but in our experience you’ll be happier with the initial design plans if you do research yourself on the cabinet doors you like, the colour scheme you want, and the initial layout. Nobody will understand what you want from your kitchen better than you! Are there financing options?

Good question. If you’re wondering if you can afford a Wren kitchen in your kitchen renovation budget, you almost certainly can. The prices range from affordable flatpack designs with basic materials and appliances right up to fancy bespoke kitchens with snazzy quartz and high-end gadgets.

However, if you think it would work better for you to spread the cost of your kitchen rather than fronting the total cost, Wren offers a bunch of finance options including zero percent if you pay in the first year. Terms and conditions apply to each of the finance options but it’s good to keep in mind if it suits your budget better. Ikea kitchen costs on the other hand, offer a 5 year 0% interest financing option at the time of writing.

Next steps

Measure up, that’s where you start. You can either measure yourself or book a home measurement (if you’re not confident whipping out the tape measure). Then you’ll know what kind of size of kitchen you’re after and which bracket you fit into.
Wren do free design consultation if you’re feeling spoilt for choice. If you’d rather really make it uniquely yours, Fi has put her expert interior design knowledge into helping you create your own stellar kitchen design

We would say it’s well worth popping into your local showroom to get a feel for the kind of kitchen you want. They have over 110 throughout the UK.

Lastly, because we love a bargain here at Fifi McGee, if your budget is looking a bit tight for what you have in mind, Wren also do seasonal sales so you can might be able to take advantage of one of the offers. Or you could just upgrade within your budget. Treat yo self!

Warranty

Length and coverage of warranty tend to be a big factor in deciding which kitchen supplier to go with. If this is important to you, you’ll be really pleased to know that Wren offers 15 years for Vogue kitchens, 20 for Infinity/Easy Fit and 25 for Infinity Plus, all of which are pretty hefty.

The warranty, in essence, covers faults of defects in Wren’s workmanship and materials and it seems like a fairly straightforward process should you ever have an issue with your kitchen.

Do you own a Wren kitchen? Or would consider one for your own home renovation? What do you think about them as a kitchen supplier?
